Kade Verwey Consolidates Second Overall In British Junior Supersport Championship At Brands Hatch

XG Racing’s Kade Verwey consolidated second position overall in the 2018 Dickies British Junior Championship after three solid rides that included a 3rd place podium finish at Brands Hatch this weekend.

Once again qualifying strong, Kade was able to finish 4th, 3rd and 5th in the weekend’s three fifteen lap encounters, proving that his pace at Donington Park was no fluke and that he is a title contender.

The racing at Brands Hatch was as ever closely fought with the #7 rider involved in some frantic on track battles.

81 points in the overall championship standings after the opening two rounds and five races ensure that the youngster can look ahead with confidence to the season ahead.

Kade Verwey – 4th, 3rd, 5th:
“I felt confident in qualifying. The set-up wasn’t perfect but not making excuses the pace is fast and starting 5th I was sure of a good first race. I made good starts all weekend and am happy with the way that I rode. We don’t have all of the upgrades available to us yet but they will come which will make us even stronger in the coming races. I am really happy with the podium, especially as Brands Hatch is not my favourite track. It’s been another good weekend and I have been able to run a good pace in all three races. Big thanks to the team, and everyone that is supporting me and well done to Leon for his first Superbike win of the season.”
